In 2000, Ecology Action became a worker-run collective-using a consensus-based decision making structure and equalizing work responsibilities and rewards.  Collectively, Ecology Action's staff has decades of experience managing cooperatively-run businesses.  EA offers consulting for new and old businesses from getting started to dealing with conflict to making decisions.

Ecology Action is Austin's downtown recycling center. We are located at 9th Street and IH-35. We are open to drop recycling materials 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (Please don't leave materials we do not take after hours). We are staffed 9am-5pm, 7 days a week except on major holidays and May Day (May 1st).
