A big thank you to the summer interns of NXP Semiconductors for all your hard work on our Atwood Neighborhood Access trail - We're thrilled to have made so much progress and loved sharing Circle Acres with you!
We had a great volunteer day with students of Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired last week - thank you for helping us to clear and mulch our Kemp Trail, making a more welcoming entrance for Circle Acres visitors!
So fun to share Circle Acres with students of Escuelita del Alma - a wonderful school "El encuentro del aprendizaje con la cultura * Where learning meets culture" - and where the adventurous teachers make sure the kids have a chance to connect with nature and learn about caring for the earth. Thanks for bringing your delightful kids to visit!
#tbt from the 2005 newsletter archives: alternative transportation + landfill diversion + volunteer action + collaborative organizations = the kind of #ecologyaction that gets things done! (Thanks Yellow Bike and Lee!)
We love being inspired by all the great work our fellow members at @earthshare_of_texas of Texas are doing...today at Circle Acres it's all about bringing together tiny hands and tinier toads...
Diego: "I get to touch the alien?!!!" ❤️Quote of the day at Urban Ecology Day Camp❤️. #mycoremediation #mycology #thisoneisedible @mycoalliance
Spot the busy campers - exploring Circle Acres, going on a blindfolded "meet a tree" walk. That blur is a fawn who joined us for a minute before running off!

What to do with all this unusual June rain? Set up a swimming pool with a view on your #recycledpallet deck ...and wait. Amazing things can happen when you recycle the landfill! #reuse #reusematerials #recycledlandfill
Learn about fungiculture and myco remediation this weekend at circle acreshttp://www.ecology-action.org/volunteer/
Own a Piece of EA History: We're not using this truck anymore to haul recycling anymore - but we're very busy recycling the landfill itself! If you're in the market for a box truck with lift gate, and want to help fund brownfield remediation with your purchase, this is your chance! Act now to preserve this awesome mural as well (we'd like to sell it to someone who will appreciate it's unique character, but might have to paint over it soon to generate broader appeal) http://ow.ly/gnuz300qvW8
Great news for clean up of Red Bluff - a site like Circle Acres that's been dumped on and neglected for years. Important questions too, in all restoration work in Austin: Will it result in displacement of the neighbors who are organizing to restore it? How can we turn that tide? http://ow.ly/aXQd300AlrO
Join Ecology Action and TreeFolks for a tour of Circle Acres Nature Preserve: Learn about the history of the site from Ecology Action, and TreeFolks will teach us how to identify and map the trees at Circle Acres and in our own neighborhoods .
All are welcome, but size is limited - please RSVP to ensure your spot http://ow.ly/nWsJ300qvbL
Cool new event - check them out this weekend! http://ow.ly/N9ze300qu2r
