If you live in or near Austin, TX you can bring HDI Plastic your plastic foam scrap!  Please make sure all materials are clean, dry and free of metals or other contaminants.  We accept the following materials between 7AM-3PM Monday-Friday at our plant at HDI Plastics, 512-383-9388, 5330 Fleming Court #100, Austin, TX 78744:

  • EPS Foam (Styrofoam) - Please do not bring us packing "peanuts" as they are often not EPS.  You can usually take them to UPS or FedEx or another shipping store.
  • LDPE (#4) Foam
  • LDPE (#4) bags - please remove receipts!
  • HDPE (#2) bags - please remove receipts! 
  • HDPE (#2) bottles
  • HDPE (#2) flower pots
  • PP (#5) flower pots

PLEASE DRIVE TO THE BACK OF THE BUILDING, BRING THE MATERIAL UP THE FIRST RAMP AND PUT IT IN THE BLUE BINS THAT ARE PROVIDED - BE CAREFUL TO AVOID TRUCKS!

Ecology Action is Austin's downtown recycling center. We are located at 9th Street and IH-35. We are open to drop recycling materials 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (Please don't leave materials we do not take after hours). We are staffed 9am-5pm, 7 days a week except on major holidays and May Day (May 1st).
